Chester's Bio:

Chester Charles Bennington a.k.a "Chester the Molester" and "Chazy Chaz" (born March 20, 1976) is the vocalist of the band Linkin Park.

He was born in Phoenix, Arizona. He is notable for producing loud and very high-pitched vocals. Most Linkin Park songs feature him screaming. His hair changes style and color frequently. When he was younger he practiced singing every day until his lungs and throat were sore to get the voice that he has now.

Chester had a rather unpleasant life right through adolescence. He was sexually abused as a child, not by his family, but from the people around him. A few of his friends commited suicide and one died in a skateboarding accident. When Chester was 11, his parents went through a divorce. He has two half sisters and a half brother. Chester attended Centennial High School at the beginning of his freshmen year. But later he went to Greenway High. As a teenager, he was addicted to crystal meth and cocaine. However, Bennington is now free from his addiction and has been so for many years. His co-writer and fellow band member Mike Shinoda wrote a song, which until recently could not be performed live. The song, called "Breaking the Habit," brought back memories from the past which in many cases reduced Bennington to tears.

Bennington was formerly the lead vocalist in a band called Grey Daze in 1994, who were popular across Arizona and the United States, but didn't achieve global status. Grey Daze replaced Chester after he left, with a female singer and the band is now known as Waterface.

He graduated in the year of 1994 from Washington High. He met his wife, Samantha while he was working in Burger King. He married her on Halloween 1996 at the age of 20, and because he was too poor to afford an actual wedding or engagement ring, the two of them have rings tattooed on their ring fingers. (Done before Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee had theirs done) They have one child, a boy named Draven Sebastian Bennington, born April 19, 2002 at 1 PM as mentioned on linkinpark.com : "Chester and Samantha had their son on April 19th, 2002 at 1PM. He's happy, healthy, and cute as can be. The baby and parents are doing great. They thank you for being so interested and they love you guys! The whole family will be on the road during the next Linkin tour!". As of May 2, 2005 the couple are divorcing after eight years of marriage. Samantha has been granted full custodial rights of their child, while Chester is fighting for joint custody.

Joe's Bio:

Joseph Hahn, a.k.a. "Chairman Hahn" or "Mr. Hahn", (born March 15, 1977) is the Korean American DJ for the band Linkin Park.

He was born in Glendale, California but now lives in Los Angeles where the band is based. In high school he ran track and was into visual arts which he pursued afterwards. Both he and bandmate Mike Shinoda went to Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California which is where they met and both majored in illustration. However, he did not graduate but instead dropped out to pursue a career involving doing special effects in television and movies such as The X-Files, Sphere, and Dune.

Eventually when the roots of Linkin Park started in 1997, he was recruited to be the DJ. Since then he has held that position and also helps direct some of their music videos such as In The End, Pts.Of.Athry, Somewhere I Belong, Numb, From The Inside, and some of the Reanimation videos. He has also directed videos for Static-X, Story of the Year and Alkaline Trio plus did the artwork, design and illustrations for Todd Shea's CD "Songs Carried on Angels Wings". Joe has his own split personality named Remy, Remy made his debut in Cure For The Itch, track 11 off the Hybrid Theory album.

Joe is known for being sarcastic in interviews. He has a dry sense of humor and is creative. He can also play guitar, and has switched instruments with Brad during concerts.

While bandmates Chester Bennington and Mike Shinoda continue to work on their solo projects, Joe has invested his time into making movies. He recently shot "The Seed" in L.A. and plans to enter it in the 2006 Sundance Film Festival. "Kung Fu High School" and "King Rat" are also in the works by Joe.

Mike's Bio:

Michael Kenji Shinoda (born February 11, 1977) is the MC/keyboardist/ rhythm guitarist/co-producer of the band Linkin Park.

He was born in Agoura, California, to a Japanese father and a Russian or a Russian-Hungarian mother who is allegedly descendant of classical music composer Tchaikovsky. He now lives in Los Angeles, where the band is based. He attended Agoura High School along with several members of the bands Incubus and Hoobastank. Shinoda is a distant relative of famed Russian composer Tchaikovsky. He was raised in a 'really, really, liberally Protestant church,' but it is unknown whether or not he still practices his religion. His musical tastes vary widely, from Tool to Dido.

Shinoda was first inspired to become a musician after attending a concert in his middle school years. The concert was a Killer B's show which included Anthrax and Public Enemy. He took piano lessons for ten years, beginning with classical, but later moving to jazz and then hip-hop. From there began his love of emceeing. In 7th grade, Mike met Brad Delson, the future guitarist for Linkin Park, at Lindero Canyon Middle School. Sometime near the end of high school, they joined with Rob Bourdon and started a band called Xero which later evolved into Linkin Park. However, their style was rather different from Linkin Park's sound today.

He graduated from the Art Center College of Design (where he met Linkin Park's Mr. Hahn) in Pasadena, California with a major in illustration. He also concentrated on graphic design quite heavily in school, resulting in him getting a job as a graphic designer straight out of college. He has stated that the most poignant moment in his life thus far has been receiving his diploma upon graduation. With his experience as a graphic artist, he ended up designing the "street soldier" figure featured on the Hybrid Theory album cover, as well as Linkin Park Underground website and merchandise (a cel-shaded, revised, robotic version of the "street soldier" is featured on Reanimation's cover). He also designed the artwork/logo for Styles of Beyond's debut album, 2000 Fold.

After his success with Linkin Park, Mike jointly opened Machine Shop Recordings with the other members of the band. Some artists featured on the imprint include Styles of Beyond, Holly Brook, Simplistic and No Warning.

For some time, rumors circulated that Shinoda was going to record a solo album, its release confirmed in March of 2005. It features several other well-known artists, including Kenna, Common, Styles of Beyond , Black Thought of The Roots, and with Jay-Z producing the album. Shinoda has stated that the guest artists featured on the album will primarily be composed of personal friends. The record, entitled The Rising Tied, will be released under the alias Fort Minor. The CD itself is set to be released on November 22, 2005. So far, three songs from the album have been released: "Remember the Name," "Petrified," and "Believe Me."

Shinoda also has found work as a record producer, and has done work for other artists, including Lupe Fiasco and Styles of Beyond. He was also titled as producer for Linkin Park's "mash-up" CD with Jay-Z, Collision Course.

Alongside Lil' Jon, Mike was given the opportunity to score the 2005 MTV Video Music Awards, the first time in the award show's history that artists were given the chance to do so.

Brad's Bio:

Bradford Phillip Delson "Big Bad Brad" (born December 1, 1977) is the guitarist of the band Linkin Park. Brad is Jewish.

He was born in Los Angeles, California. In 1996, he graduated from Agoura High School and formed Xero, the early stages of Linkin Park, with friend Mike Shinoda. He was in college through 1996 to 2000 and graduated from UCLA with a degree in communications but did not go to law school in order to pursue a career in the band.

While in college Brad had to take up a required internship and ended up working for Jeff Blue who was at the time getting deals for Matchbox 20 and Macy Gray. He told Blue about his beginning band and in return for giving him demos to listen to he was given constructive criticism. It was Blue who found Linkin Park's vocalist, Chester Bennington.

Brad's first instrument was the trumpet and his first band was called The Pricks. He and fellow band mate Dave Farrell were roommates in college and they practiced together. He calls himself 'Big Bad Brad' and signs his name 'BBB'.

Before Xero, he was in a band called Relative Degree with fellow Linkin Park band mate drummer Rob Bourdon. Relative Degree fell apart after just one show.

One distinguishing feature about Brad is that during every live show he wears large headphones. They change every time Linkin Park releases an album and he has never given a serious answer as to why he wears them.

Some of his musical influences are Guns N Roses, Metallica, Duran Duran, Dave Matthews Band, and Sunny Day Real Estate. He is criticized for playing simple guitar parts and never perfoming solos but prefers it that way because he tries to make it sound like a keyboard or strings to try to fit in with the hip-hop and electronic sounds of the band.

He has been married to wife Monica since September 16, 2003.

Rob's Bio:

Robert Gregory Bourdon (born January 20, 1979) is the drummer in the band Linkin Park. He is also the youngest member. Rob is Jewish.

Rob was born in Calabasas, California and now lives in Los Angeles. He grew up in the same town as Incubus, and went to high school with some members of Hoobastank.

Rob started to play the drums at age ten after seeing an Aerosmith concert. His mother knew Joey Kramer, Aerosmith's drummer and was able to go backstage and see the entire production. Rob also plays the piano. When he was around thirteen, Bourdon played in bands with his friends. It was around that time he met Brad Delson, now the guitarist for Linkin Park, and they played together for about a year in a band called Relative Degree. Before playing drums he played piano and still does when he gets the time.

He went to college at UCLA. Before joining the band he was a waiter.

Metal-is: "With all the metal that you wear about your person, do you have problems when you go through airports?"
Mike: "You have no idea! Brad's pants are down around his ankles, 'cause his pants are too big and his belt's all made of metal, Chester has to take off 50 things it's a joke! And the best thing is, he's obsessive compulsive. Tell her about how you arrange your bracelets when you take them off!"
Chester: "No."
Mike: "I'll tell her about it! Chester takes off his bracelets when he's going through the metal detector at the airport and he has this bag with those of those handles that pulls up, so there's a long hanger and he arranges them on that. He takes them off in the same order every time and puts them in the same places and arranges them perfectly."
