"Fort Minor Makes an Album" on MTV2

On October 12th, 2005, "Fort Minor Makes an Album" aired on MTV2. In the special, MTV2 took a look at the making of "The Rising Tied" with Mike. Mike narrated most the show and told everyone about making the tracks and coming up with the artwork for the album. The special also showed Jay-Z, Brad Delson, and Mike listening to the songs that would (possibly) be on the album; they were deciding which tracks would or wouldn't be featured on "The Rising Tied" and where they should be placed on the album. They also showed a little of the making of the "Petrified" video. And to wrap the show up, they played the entire "Petrified" vid.

FYI

Fort Minor came out with a new media player with Special Editon DVD clips on November 4th.
Check it out on FortMinor.com. You can also vote for their video, "Petrified", on mtv.com to air on TRL.

FUSE Cares!!

On October 12th, 2005, the channel FUSE, during a Live episod of "Daily Download", they aired the "Petrified" video. During the show you were able to download "Petrified" for FREE. "Daily Download" is a countdown (hosted by 2 of their VJs) that counts down the top 10 most downloaded songs, with the occasional celebrity guest. FUSE is a great channel for music covering pop, hip-hop, rock/punk/indie, and heavy metal music genres. Unfortunately, FUSE is only available through DISH Network, Direct TV, and a few cable deals. (Note to all LP fans: Get dish!) Thanks for caring, FUSE!

Chester Performed for ReAct Now Concert

Chester Bennington of Linkin Park (duh) performed not too long ago in the ReAct Now Concert to help aid those fallen victim to Hurricane Katrina. (And I heard there's another hurricane on the way!)
Chester performed with Motley Crue in his first performance, where they performed the song, "Home Sweet Home." (Sweet is right.) Later in the evening, Chester performed solo and sang "Let Down", which is to be on his upcoming solo album. The album is supposed to drop early 2006. (Can't wait!!!) A few songs for the album are already done.-The album is also not supposed to be Linkin Park-ish, but it will be good nonetheless.

Mike is also going to have a solo album, probably next year (2006). Mike has said that if/when he has guest appearances on the album that they will be people that he likes and is friends with, instead of people that are 'hot' right then.

Gossip

As we all know, Chester Bennington is divorced from his former wife, Samantha. And last we heard they were in a custody battle for their son, Draven. Well, it's been about a year since then and Chester has seemingly moved on. He now has a NEW girlfriend, Talinda Bentley, who is PREGNANT and is allegedly Chester's fiancee. Chester recently shoved a bouncer at a club/party for "pushing" the pregnant Talinda. And by the way, Talinda is a former Playboy "model".

When I went to purchase "The Rising Tied" (a.k.a. Fort Minor's album), I was searching all over the store for it, but the CD wasn't in it's proper place. So, I asked one of the employees ( I was at Sam Goody's by the way) if they had Fort Minor's new album, the man said "yes" and asked one of his girl co-workers to help me. This particular co-worker happened to be the biggest Linkin Park fan I had ever met, and showed me where they had placed Fort Minor's album. As I was about to pick it up to go buy it, she informed me of a SPECIAL version of "The Rising Tied". I was thinking, "What? How did I not know about this?" as she had someone go find it for me. She then told me about what the special version was: It had 3 bonus tracks that Mike had wanted to put on the album, but Jay-Z and Brad Delson didn't think needed to be. It also included a DVD called "The Making of The Rising Tied", which includes the making of the album and art, interviews with Mike Shinoda, some of the making of the video "Petrified", and footage of Mike in the studio. When they brought it out to me, I was in shock, I couldn't believe it, I knew I had to have it. So, I did end up buying the special edition, and I am really happy with it.
The 3 bonus songs are called "Be Somebody", "There They Go", and "The Hard Way". If you haven't already bought the "Rising Tied", I hope you try to scrape a few more dollars together and purchase the special edition. If you're a real fan, you won't be disappointed! Also, don't forget about Fort Minor's fan club, the Fort Minor Militia, which you can join at: http://fortminormilitia.com
Thanx.

Well...We think that this is total bullsh*t, but...we did hear a rumor that Chester was bisexual. *rolls eyes* whatever...

mike0chester.jpg
Speaking of bi...No,no, I'm just kidding. This is a joke. Go buy yourself some sense of humor!

Here's a quote we think you must read if you are a TRUE Linkin Park fan:
Chester: "There was another time when Mike was in a really foul mood and we had to make a pit stop so he could use the porta potty.
Mike: "CHESTER?"
Joe: "I remember this one!"
Chester: "Anyways, Mike went to use the porta Potty and we were in the RV, It was Joe's Idea, But we all got out and started to rock the thing back and forth. We didn't mean to, but we ended up tipping the porta potty over while Mike was still in it".
Mike: "That's not funny!'
Joe: "Yeah it was. You should have seen the look on his face when you got outta there!"
Rob: "Mike was covered in crap, he had to strip down before we let him back on the bus because he smelled so bad!"
Chester: "Then we attacked him with air freshener."
Brad: "Lysol!"

Bios for the band members are HERE. (Click on Bios! on the Navigation Bar-- which is over on the side of every page.)

Metal-is: "With all the metal that you wear about your person, do you have problems when you go through airports?"
Mike: "You have no idea! Brad's pants are down around his ankles, 'cause his pants are too big and his belt's all made of metal, Chester has to take off 50 things it's a joke! And the best thing is, he's obsessive compulsive. Tell her about how you arrange your bracelets when you take them off!"
Chester: "No."
Mike: "I'll tell her about it! Chester takes off his bracelets when he's going through the metal detector at the airport and he has this bag with those of those handles that pulls up, so there's a long hanger and he arranges them on that. He takes them off in the same order every time and puts them in the same places and arranges them perfectly."
